England caretaker boss Lee Carsley has confirmed he views Trent Alexander-Arnold as a right-back rather than a midfielder.
“For me and the national team, he’s a right-back,” Carsley said. “Trent has the qualities to be a modern right-back, he’s a complete player, almost like a midfielder, he’s a good receiver, he’s a good long-range passer.”
